PAM AND HER HUSBAND ERIC WORK HAND IN HAND.  ERIC IS ALSO A CREATIVE MASTER CARPENTER-BUILDER, SO BOTH SHARE THEIR LOVE OF WOOD. THEY CREATE WHAT THEY LOVE TO DO, AND FEEL FORTUNATE MANY PEOPLE APPRECIATE THEIR STYLE.  THEY FEEL BLESSED BEING ABLE TO CREATE THEIR THOUGHTS INTO REALITY, THROUGH PAINTING, CARVING, AND BUILDING.

The Business  of Wood Carving...

began with Pams father Lou. She followed his lead and became interested in carving at 14 years of age. One of thier customers asked if she would carve a  Santa Claus figure. They had previously been collecting owl, eagle, and hawk woodcarvings. To her surprise, santas became very popular. They have carved everything one could imagine, from circus folk art figures, to all types of animals, political figures, and every holiday. 

The Schifferl's have been featured in numerous magazines, and books.  Including Country Living, Texas Homes, Country Folk Art, Mary Emmerling Collecting Country. They have been commissioned to carve for companies, individuals, from presidents, to the Queen Of England.  

Disney, Spiegel, Bombay Co., Ducks Unlimited, and numerous celebrities. They also designed, and carved ornaments, with Midwest of Cannon Falls for many years.

Pams racing horse carvings have been displayed as  centerpieces at the Kentucky Derby.  American Folk Art is represented by the Schifferls in the Ford Museum, with an owl woodcarving.

Pamela has 38  years of carving experience, at the age of 54.  Carving for individual dealers at a young age full time and later worked with Midwest Of Cannon Falls for ten years.

Eric and Pamela continue to work together on many projects.  Eric has been in the building business since his youth, also working as a supervisor in Alaska on commercial projects. They both believe in quality , and precision workmanship.
